Sample Itinerary:
Granada & the Alhambra – a Taste of Southern Spain

Day One:

  • Arrival and check-in. We’ll provide you with details on getting to your hotel.
  • Guided walk of the Albaycín, Granada’s ancient Moorish quarter, with stops at the market, herb and spice dealer, ceramics shops, according to your interests.
  • Lunch: “grazing” and tasting at the market and dessert at a Morrocan teahouse.
  • Late afternoon free time – make a hammam appointment, visit an art museum or café, or just relax.
  • A real neighborhood tapeo – dinner the local way, snacking from bar to bar.

Day Two:

  • Breakfast.
  • Drive into the countryside for cooking class in a private home, making a stop on the way to see the XV century olive press in Niguelas.
  • Cooking class includes a walk to gather wild herbs for the meal and lunch.
  • Late afternoon free time with tips on exploring – or maybe a siesta?
  • Wine stroll with a local sommelier – a more refined version of the dinnertime tapeo.

Day Three:

  • Breakfast.
  • Reservations to see the Alhambra will be booked for this morning or this evening; we provide the booking, with background for self-guided visits, however, if you prefer to be guided, we can arrange that for you (it is not included in your tour price).
  • Today you’ll have lunch on your own, with suggestions from us on favorite restaurants in the old city.
  • Celebratory tasting menu dinner showing off great local ingredients with elegant renditions of classic Andalusian cuisine, all paired with intriguing wines.

Day Four:

  • Breakfast and departure.
